Functioning

A mechanical cuckoo resonates like the original cuckoo clock. Completely mechanical, it works with the help of counterweights that just need to be reassembled (which takes less than 5 seconds, once a week). Simply pull on the chain which will raise the counterweight (we advise you to slightly raise the counterweight at the same time as you pull on the chain, in order to facilitate reassembly).
The sound is produced using cones which inflate and deflate through a kind of whistle. The sound of the cuckoo can be stopped by simply removing the weight corresponding to the cuckoo.

Traveling by plane with a cuckoo: Many customers ask us the question of permission to carry a cuckoo plane: There are no restrictions on this! You can perfectly travel with your cuckoo in hand luggage or put it in the hold bag.

Note about the packaging: All our cuckoos are packed in their original carton. When we send them, we place the original carton inside a new carton with a protective layer. As a result, the shipment is highly protected during transport by Swiss Post.
